Antique Edwardian Denby & Spinks Oak Triple Wardrobe C1900

Antique Edwardian Oak Triple Wardrobe by Denby & Spinks. Constructed from quality Oak it has a stepped caddy top above three full length panelled doors with each door having a total of seven moulded panels and original turned knob handles and with the two side doors having a carved panel of celtic dragons either side of a carved rose. Internally and to one side there is double hanging space with a long deep drawer to the base and with a with a framed full length mirror to the inside of the door. To the other side there is single hanging space above two shelves and a single deep drawer. Both drawers are oak lined with original brass handles. It has its original ivorine Denby & Spinks badge and the whole separates for ease of transporting.

Measures: 82" high x 20" deep x 18.5" internal depth x 72" wide

"c. 1900. View of Denby and Spinks store on Albion Street. This firm was founded in 1849 by Alfred Denby and joined in the 1860s by Albert Spink. Original premises were in Albion Place but in 1876 they acquired the premises shown in the photograph. This building had formerly been the Music Hall and had been used since 1850 as the Albion Carpet Warehouse. The photograph shows two horse drawn carriages outside the shop.

A very nice Antique Oak Triple Wardrobe and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
