The chairs present very attractively with the classic Chippendale intricate pierced back splat combined with cabriole leg delivering huge style and elegance.
With a generously wide 22" (56cm) leather seat pad and a useful 18.1" (46cm) seat height this well proportioned and sturdy set of chairs offer comfort in use. They are certainly suitable for daily use if required.
Rising from a claw and ball foot with full talons, through an elegant cabriole into a carved upper knee. The back section provides further indicators of quality with moulded sides rails flowing into carved ears which flank a carved header rail of serpentine form. The back splat provides much interest with attractive scroll form.
The mahogany shows good colour and grain. The leather seats are very well presented and suit the chairs, although with the drop in style of the seat pad re-upholstery would be straightforward if ever required.
The chairs are in very good solid order throughout.
Overall the chairs represent an opportunity to own a fine set of six gorgeous chairs which will serve well and look fabulous for many decades to come.
