Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The chandelier hasn't been available to the public for many, many years as it remained in one family for several generations, and we have only lightly cleaned it to preserve the rich dark colour of the brass.
At the top of the chandelier is a figure of a Phoenix from which a brass ring holds the light to the ceiling.
There is also a magnificent piece of original, heavy, and well made chain to go with this light, and it can be seen on the left hand side of the photograph hanging down.
It measures approximately 84cm in width and 66cm in height and delivery within easy reach of the M25 can be arranged. Or collection from Surrey.
