Set of 6 Antique Regency Mahogany Dining Chairs with Sabre Legs

Description

Rare set of 6 antique Regency dining chairs in mahogany dating from around the 1810-20's period. The curved top rails are beautifully hand carved & so are the centre bars. There is also a lot of detailed moulding & reeding all over the chairs, plus on the sabre legs. My upholsterer has kept the original horse hair inside the drop in seats & re-upholstered them all, then covered in calico, so it wouldn't cost much to put your own fabric on top. We were tempted to do them in leather, because that's how they were before, but with a set as nice as these I think it should be left to your choice. My restorer has been all over these chairs, so everything is sound & also totally original. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the depth of carving.
