A Stunning Walnut & Ormolu Mounted Victorian Period Armchair

Description

A rare & stunning walnut and ormolu mounted Victorian armchair. With a deep buttoned upholstered back above the generous sprung seat. The scrolling arms with beautiful ormolu floral mounts supported on four turned and reeded walnut front feet with cast ormolu collars and brass and porcelain castors, having rear swept supports, English circa 1870

Dimensions: 36" high x 26" deep x 25" wide (seat 15" high)

Condition: This chair is stunning condition. Re-upholstered in our workshops using traditional methods. The ormolu has been re-gilded using traditional techniques. One floral paterae missing from left hand end of chair (see picture)
