Description

A fine Victorian walnut and marquetry inlaid side cabinet. The walnut top with boxwood line inlay and kingwood cross banding above a marquetry inlaid frieze with scrolling foliage, leaves and flowers and further kingwood banding. The glazed door with a brass mount and marquetry foliage, "C" scrolls and butterflies in various exotic and stained woods. The kingwood banded stiles with various flowers and leaves and capped by classic brass metal mounts. The shaped plinth base with burr walnut, cross banding and brass metal mount. The kingwood banded sides with decorative brass mounts. The interior with 2 original shelves and faded velvet lining. With working lock and key.
