A Good Mahogany Victorian Period Antique Partners Desk

Description

A Good mahogany Victorian Period antique partners desk. The rectangular top with an inset black leather writing surface with blind tooled and gilt Greek key detail and with a beautifully figured mahogany border. One side with an arrangement of nine rectangular mahogany drawers with brass ring drawer pulls, the reverse with three rectangular frieze drawers and twin panelled cupboards. The sides in beautifully figured mahogany and rounded corners, the whole supported in a mahogany veneered rounded corner plinth. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 66" wide x 45" deep x 30" high (knee hole 24" high x 29" wide)

Condition: This desk is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. A replacement leather to the top is in excellent condition, with minor scuffs and abrasions. This desk would originally of had turned wooden knobs which nhave now been replaced by solid brass ring tunred handles.
