Antique Deep Buttoned Leather Chesterfield Sofa

1900 - 1920
Description

This deep buttoned leather chesterfield sofa is a real character piece & very comfortable too. The leather is in very good original condition & is naturally distressed, with a wonderful original colour. I can't see any splits, only natural old markings. It's hand studded & sits on bun feet. Please do not confuse this chesterfield with all the mass produced ones out there. This one was hand made & hand coloured. The seat has been re-upholstered & coloured to match in. I would say it dates to around the 1920's period, although it could be older & you can feel all the crisp horse hair underneath the leather. Please check out & enlarge all the images.
