Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
This also adds to the overall character. I'm not sure of the exact age, but it does look like it's from the 1890-1910 period, although it may be older. This table came out of a private London residence & I haven't done anything to it. This is a very decorative piece of furniture, with a lot of intricate carvings, which are all in wood & no gesso. On closer inspection if one looks underneath, there is some evidence that there was some extra carving underneath the top front edge. I can't be sure, but there looks like something may have been attached at some point. Anyway this is how I got it & I think it looks fine as is. The applied decorative piece above the urn has come off & has been off before, but we will put it back on before sending out.
