Late C19th George I style walnut card table. Fantastic copy of an important early C18th fold-over gaming table. Raised on carved cabriole legs with shell-carved knees and claw and ball feet, carved conch-shell decoration to the frieze.The veneered and banded top with 'fumed ' polish finish and distressing to imitate age and wear. Double-gate action to rear supports. Vibrantly coloured needle-work interior in early C18th style in perfect condition ,depicting playing cards ,gambling chips etc .The shaped fold-over top with 'guinea counter' scoop corners or candle-wells. W 33" D17 " H 30". England c 1890.
