Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1870s.
Having a central rectangular panelled door with a central sevres plaque and hand painted and gilded detail within an ormolu mount, with marquetry inlaid detail to the corners,cross banded in purple heart. The door opens to reveal a velvet lined interior and is flanked by semi circular ormolu mounted columns with further marquetry inlaid detail. The glazed bow ends again opening to reveal velvet lined shelved display areas with flat marquetry inlaid pilasters to each end, again ormolu mounted. The whole raised on a shaped burr walnut veneered plinth with tulipwood moulding. English circa 1870

Condition: This credenza is in superb condition. Re-polished and re-lined in our workshops
