Antique English Ruby Red Cut Perfume Bottle - Sterling Silver Top C.1880

Description

A very handsome Victorian English scent bottle dating to around 1880 made from a heavy and chunky piece of ruby red cut crystal, hand blown with a ground pontil to the underside.

The top is English sterling silver (unmarked, most of these weren't marked) with an attractive shape and repousse decoration. The lid fits well, the hinge in full working order. Once opened, the original glass stopper is revealed, fitting perfectly to keep the contents from evaporation.

Excellent condition, measuring 3 3/4" tall.
