Description

A handsome English Victorian sighting compass made by the Elliott Brothers of London, unusual with it's pale green card dial.

It is covered with a glass crystal in excellent condition without damage. The sighting vane operates as a transit lock. Everything is present and in working order. By reading the history of the Elliott Brothers, you will find that this compass was manufactured between 1854 and 1865.

It comes in its original case with the back inscribed with the name of it's original owner, W.F. Nuthall. A fabulous and rare addition to any collection. 3" in diameter.
