Fine Marquetry Inlaid Centre Table

Description

Superb Victorian walnut and marquetry inlaid centre or dining table. The top with 6 kingwood and boxwood inlaid cartouches with floral marquetry centres, the centre inlaid with further foliage and roses. All the marquetry inlaid into wonderfully figured walnut and a well carved edge. The original solid walnut base having 3 carved cabriole legs with scroll feet joining a turned and carved centre column and a square supporting block which still retains its original brass and steel bolts and brass catch which when released allows the top to be tilted for easy moving (as in 1st photo). Condition - very good. This beautiful table has been cleaned, polished and waxed and has a soft, warm patina. Free delivery to most of U.K. on this item. Maximum Diameter..51.5''...130cm.
