Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
There are two elegant handles mounted to the sides, below both is a large shield shaped sterling silver mount, with intricate old initials engraved, creating a fabulous look. Each of the shields has a full English hallmark for the highly sought-after Chester assay office and the date letter for 1907.

The bowl comes complete with it's original ceramic liner without chips or cracks but with the usual crazing. Also, it's lovely to have the original servers also signed Daniel & Arter.
A lovely classic dinner table piece in excellent condition. The bowl measures 111/4" handle to handle and the bowl stands 6" tall to top of handles; the diameter of the ceramic liner measures 8 1/2".
