Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The stand is of swept oblong form mounted with two slice cut crystal inkwells (in superb undamaged condition) crowned with hinged Rosewood covers topped with a Boulle veneered top; each inkwell has a small glass liner making it easy for refilling and cleaning.
There is a very large pen dish to the front and the entire base sits on four original bracket feet. The underside bears an ivorine label, engraved "Leuchars & Son Geffroy Sr, Paris, Manufactured in England", made by the famous and exclusive Leuchars for the Paris retail market; a true quality gem.

The desk set is in exquisite condition, with a tiny dent the brass at the front, see the photos; a age shrinkage crack to the secondary softwood on the underside, insignificant and shown purely for accuracy.
14" x 10", dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.
