Description

Standing approximately 28.5 inches (72.5 cm) high, this unusual PAIR OF CARVED OAK FIGURES date from circa 1880.

The FIGURES are of good quality OAK highlighted with GILT.

Each FIGURE holds a TORCH which, at some stage, has been drilled to carry electric wires so they could be used as lamps.

The condition is good. There is age-related wear and a curlecue missing from the front of one helmet.

Eye-catching with a commanding presence. An ideal decorative feature for the Period or Modern home.
