Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The silver plated fittings are beautiful including four ball feet, a swing handle to each side and an escutcheon to the front (alas, no key).

The interior has the original two oak lids covering the two tea compartments, one for green tea, the other for black tea.
Excellent condition with very minor wear to the silver plate in a couple of areas, spanning 9" wide (handle to handle), the lid measuring 8" x 5" and the box standing 5 1/8" tall.
