Description

A pair of mahogany 1920s Globe Wernicke stacking bookcases. Each section with lead glass "up and over" sliding doors and each with a rectangular storage drawer to the base. English circa 1920

Dimensions: 49" high x 34" wide x 12" deep

Condition: This bookcases are in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Minor scuffs consistent with age and use.

The Globe-Wernicke Company was formed as a result of the Cincinnati based Globe Files Company (est. in 1882) purchasing the Minneapolis based Wernicke Company in 1899. The company is best known for their high end bookcases, Desks, and other office furniture. Globe Wernicke established factories in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
