Description

Welsh oak and elm arm chair by S Pring awarded in 1893 during the Cwmllynfell Eisteddfod measures approximately 24&1/4 inches (65 cm) arm tip to arm tip x 22&1/2 inches (57 cm) back to front x 30&1/4 inches (77 cm) high to top of back rail. Good condition, and good color with brass plaque reading: "1893 ESTEDDFOD CWMLLYNFELL ARGLWYDD BENDITHIAF" (1893 Cwmllynfell Esteddfod Bless the Lord). The chair is impressed marked on the back of the seat rim with the maker "S Pring".
