Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
As you can see it is most beautifully decorated with the corinthian design and then the tripod base which has figures of a beast and the claw feet and floral motifs, the quality is just breathtaking.
As you would expect from a piece made of solid brass it is extremely heavy.
It comes with a new cream coloured shade with the watermark design as photographed.
It measures 66" high including the shade and 53" high without the shade. The base measures 20" across the base.
An extraordinary piece in a classic design, an item which will give great pleasure for many years to come and a perfect gift.
It has been rewired by a qualified electrician and ready for immediate use.
