The chairs present attractively with the classic balloon back combined with cabriole leg delivering huge style and elegance.
A wide stuff-over seat section rides over carved and moulded, nipped toe, cabriole front legs with serpentine seat.
Well proportioned, generous in size, and sturdy this versatile set of chairs offer comfort in use with a useful 45cm (17.7") seat height and a comfy seat pad - certainly suitable for daily use if required.
The textile presents marks consistent with use and missing brocade trim. One chair wears a different fabric. Whilst the chairs are ready to use they would welcome re-covering.
A particularly attractive balloon back rises from the waist of the chair with carved foliate and scroll detailing at the foot and header, moulded edge detailing and a charming through piercing. The walnut shows good colour and grain.
The chairs are in very good solid order throughout with one having an old professional repair visible only under close inspection.
Overall the chairs represent an opportunity to own a fine set of six gorgeous chairs which will serve well and look fabulous for many decades to come.
