Description

This VICTORIAN ROSEWOOD FITTED VANITY BOX dates from circa 1860.

It is fitted with its original GLASS BOTTLES and BOXES; the bottles with their original glass stoppers and the boxes with their SILVER PLATED covers.

The VANITY BOX has a fitted side drawer which is released on a spring mechnism by lifting a peg on the inside rim.

The LOCK and HINGES are also SILVER PLATED and there is a key which works.

Dimensions:

Height: 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)

Width: 12 inches (30.5 cm)

Depth: 9 inches (23 cm)

The condition is good and original, commensurate with age. There is a small chip to the base of one of the bottles and some tiny nicks to the bases of some of the others.

The ROSEWOOD has good patination.
