Antique English Sterling Silver Visiting Card Case - 1884

Description

A very handsome Victorian solid sterling silver card case, beautifully shaped with exquisite all-over decoration, the front having a central vacant cartouche.

The silver is a good gauge creating a good heavy piece weighing 2.47 Troy Ounces or 76.9 Grams.

The lid fits well and the hinge in fully working order. Once opened, the full English hallmark for Birmingham 1884 can be found, the highly desirable Queen Victoria's head duty mark is also present.

Lovely condition, measuring 4" x 2 3/4".
