Set of 4 Antique Carved Mahogany Dining Chairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Set of 4 antique Chippendale style mahogany dining chairs in good original condition, with newly re-upholstered drop in seats in calico. These chairs have pierced carved backs, carved gadrooned edges below the seat, carving on the tops of the legs, plus claw & ball feet. They are really bold looking chairs & very well made. I would say they date from around the 1890-1910 period. The seat have been completely re-upholstered, so if you wanted to recover, it shouldn't cost more than £15 a seat for the work.
