English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame with Bow Mount - 1918

Description

A pretty early twentieth century photo frame in English sterling silver with a hallmark for Birmingham 1918.

The makers initials are also present S & M for the silversmith, Sanders & Mackenzie - Ernest Wilfred Sanders & Henry Arthur Mackenzie.

The top of the frame is crowned with a highly decorative bow. The backing is made from solid wood with a folding easel stand.

Excellent condition, measuring 6 1/2" tall to top of bow x 4 1/4", the glazed aperture measuring 5 1/8" x 3 5/8".
