Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique Victorian mahogany pedestal desk with a tooled leather writing surface. This desk has unusual proportions, being quite long & not too deep. There are locks on all the drawers, which have brass swan neck handles & there are casters under the double plinths. The back is polished & this desk comes apart into three sections. It's in good original condition & I would say it dates to around the 1890-1900 period.

Width - 52.5", 133 cm

Depth - 24", 61 cm

Height - 39.6" 78 cm

Knee height - 24.3", 62 cm
