Description

A really fabulous Victorian thread, twine or string dispenser; it came to me with this old ball of thread in (which I will leave in) but it is large for a thread box, so I would suspect it would be for a small ball of twine or fine string.

Made from a solid piece of Walnut, the interior reveals what the wood would have looked like over 100 years ago, the outside having a lovely rich antique patina which only comes with age.

The drum has two charming drumsticks carved into the top, beautifully done.

Excellent condition dating to around 1890, standing 2 3/4" tall with a diameter measuring 3".
