The carving to the door is most likely a Victorian addition (it was a popular past time to carve earlier pieces.) While the carving to the sides is most likely original chip carving. It has decorative hinges (Victorian replacements) and inside there are 2 shelves. Key provided, lock in working order (not the original lock).

In solid condition. Some small scuffs and marks commensurate with age. Evidence of some old worm holes to the back (but it is a very old piece of furniture). Replacement hinges, escutcheon and lock. Some of the carving is later than the cupboard.
