Description

A very attractive English George II Style mahogany open armchair with original needlepoint upholstery. Standing on 4 cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving and pad feet. The open arms with further acanthus leaf and scallop shell decoration. The frame is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs. The wonderful upholstery embroidered with a central vase of fruit and flowers resting on an armorial crest with winged lions in support.The upholstery shows some signs of wear but no splits or tears. The ground colour of the front is biscuit and the reverse is pale green. All with original brass studs and a sprung seat.Fully cleaned and waxed. Sizes :- Max.Height..37''..94cm.
