Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
This theme is then carried on down to the base where a floral motif panel is inserted into the black and white veined marble. As you would expect they are extremely heavy.
They come with brand new cream watermark pattern shades.
They measure 22 inches in height including the shade, the base is 5.5 inches square.
They have been rewired by a fully qualified electrician and ready for immediate use.
There has been a repair to one of them on the back corner which is hardly noticeable and looks as though it is part of the veining but this in no way detracts from them at all. We have tried to show this in the last photograph.
This is a lovely genuine pair of lamps and not to be confused with reproductions.
