Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Originally a candlestick with the wonderful slightly tapering design on a square base, it has now been converted into a table lamp by a fully qualified electrician and are ready for immediate use. It also has a brand new shade in a pleated green colour which comes with the lamp or a choice of 2 cream coloured designs can be fitted if you prefer.
It is in excellent condition with the brightness of the solid brass yet retaining the patina which you would expect of genuine Victorian pieces.
It measures 12 inches in height not including the shade, is 3.5 inches square.
This is a beautiful genuine lamp and not to be confused with reproductions.
