Edwardian Toy Animals by Schoenhut.

1900 - 1920
Description

Delightful set of four Edwardian jointed toy animals c.1905. By the US makers Schoenhut, they were made as part of their Humpty Dumpty Circus. Horse, goat, camel and ostritch all with fantastic character, carved from wood with leather details, string tails and glass eyes. Would benefit from re-stringing but can be carefully posed as pictured, true to nature the goat is most awkward as he refuses to stand and his head keeps falling off!
