Description

A charming WW1 military trunk with zinc lining and with working lock and key. it is made from wood, painted black and bears the makers label "FP Baker & Co Ltd". It has the name major Pl Birch West Yorks British Military Delegation Paris on the top indicating a date of 1919 (post WW1). It has its original hasp and carry handles and two locks one of which still works and comes with working key. Would make a wonderful bedroom chest, a coffee table or a window display. It appears to have been painted black (in places) fairly recently and the black paint does come off it if rubbed.

It is solid. There are lots of scuffs and marks commensurate with age. The black paint on it is coming off - so may need cleaning/varnishing.
