Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It has been newly reupholstered in a brocade with a design of olive green leaves on an ivory background called "Frankfurt Lime" and trimmed with two-tone braid. In a style which seems to be transitional, somewhere between Arts and Crafts and the Art Deco period.
