Rising from classic bracket feet the bureau offers four generously sized full width drawers complete with brass back-plate handles and lock escutcheon fittings.
The fall flap opens to provide a useful writing surface. The desirable later fitted interior displays wonderfully with a scalloped detail and offers a useful range of drawers and cubbies. Additionally there are twin false book slide outs as a further sign of the quality.
It is solidly crafted throughout, has strong dovetails, good craftsmanship and will make a fine addition to any home.
A perfect example of practicality and good design with traditional craftsmanship delivering a piece which will still be desirable in another two centuries time.
