Description

An absolute stunning box, really the creme de la creme of it's genre. The grand Gothic shape is covered in the most exquisite Walnut and mounted with top quality gilded strap work with three Pietra Dura medallions to the the front.

The quality of the metalwork is the finest, all exquisitely hand engraved and covered in the original gold.

The interior has had to be refitted as it was totally ruined. This has been superbly professionally re-fitted, creating a fresh usable stationery box.

A good impressive size to grace the best of desk tops, with a footprint measuring 10 3/4" x 6" and stands 7 3/4" tall. The width of the compartments measure 7 3/4". Victorian in era, around 1860.
