Description

A very good and rare oak twenty drawer entomological cabinet by messrs watkins&doncaster, 36 the strand, london. W.c.

This cabinet was made circa 1900 and is unusual in that it is constructed of oak. It is likely that this was made to a special order. The cabinet carries the original manufacturers ivorine plate to the inside top rail of the door. The door is glazed and the twenty well made drawers all have closely fitted glazed frames to the top. The drawers run well on hidden runners. Lock and key fitted and working.

A good looking and versatile collectors cabinet ideal for a multitude of collecting pursuits.

Front to back. 18.5 inches.

Drawers.

Width. 17 inches.

Front to back. 15 inches,

Overall depth. 2 inches.
