Description

A Fine pair of Meiji Period Japanese Cloisonné vases, each vase worked in silver and copper wire with various coloured enamels on a pale blue ground depicting birds amongst foliage and having a particularly fine floral border to the neck and around the base. Unsigned but similar vases of this quality were made of the same period by Hayashi Kodenji. Japanese circa 1880

Dimensions: 3.5" high x 3" diameter

Condition: This pair of vases are in superb condition. There is an extremely minor hairline to the end of one branch, please see picture number 10
