Description

A superb Victorian four piece silver plated tea set, a scarcely found highly decorative example with stunning pierced or reticulated galleried rims.

The set consists of a teapot, hot water jug, sugar bowl and creamer, the two latter pieces being lavishly gilded inside.

All the pieces stand on four beautiful cast feet with a cast pierced or skirt.

Each piece has a highly attractive engraved initial B, so even better if you first or last name begin with this.

All the pieces are fully marked for the silversmith Roberts and Belk of Sheffield. Excellent condition and top quality.

The teapot spans 10 1/4" spout to handle x 5" wide x 6" tall; the water jug spans 7" spout to handle x 5" wide x 8" tall; the sugar spans 6 1/2" handle to handle x 4" wide x 3 1/2" tall; the creamer spans 5 1/2" spout to handle x 3" deep x 3 1/4" tall.
