A Stunning Burr Walnut Victorian Period Breakfront Bookcase

Description

A stunning burr walnut Victorian Period breakfront bookcase. The upper section of breakfront outline with a rounded corner and stepped moulded cornice above four glazed panelled doors which enclose an adjustable shelved interior. The lower section again of breakfront outline with four panelled doors veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut and enclosing a mahogany shelved interior. The whole supported on a burr walnut veneered rounded plinth. English circa 1870-1880

Dimensions: 82" high x 78" wide at base x 80" wide at cornice x 12" deep top ends x 15" deep top centre x 17" deep base ends x 20" deep base centre

Condition: This bookcase is in stunning condition. Cleaned and waxed. All the internal shelves are solid mahogany with walnut edging. Made from the finest english mahogany with Hobbs & Co locks, which is a sign of the quality of this piece of furniture
