Antique William 1v Cuban Mahogany Chaise Longue C1830

Superb Antique William 1V Cuban Mahogany Chaise Longue Sofa and dating from aorund 1830. Constructed from excellent quality Cuban Mahogany it has a deeply moulded back rail to the serpentine shaped back rest which is carved with Acanthus leaf and a deep swan neck scroll arm with carved Acanthus leaf. It has a deep padded back and stuff over seat above a wide moulded skirt and to one end it has a deep carved moulded frieze and stands on cuban mahogany bulbous leg on a squat bun foot. It is covered with a quality brown velvet fabric with contrasting trim and with a matching cushion roll and has its original horsehair upholstery.

Measures: 35" high to back x seat height 15.5" x 24" deep x 70" long.

A superb Antique William 1V chaise longue sofa of excellent quality and with a lovely deep colour and original patination to the mahogany and in very good condition oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
