Set of 4 Antique Swedish Satin Birch Dining Chairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Stylish set of four antique Swedish Satin Birch dining chairs in lovely original condition. They have just come over from Sweden, been gently polished & recovered in a neutral linen fabric. These chairs have very generous proportions, with 'Trafalgar' backs & strong sabre legs. They also have ebonized central splats. I would say they date from around the 1890-1910 period. Sets of 'Empire' style chairs like these are becoming extremely hard to find & are very sought after. I do also have a matching pair of armchairs which came with them. These are available separate as well, but if someone wants them all as a set, I will work out a good price.

Seat height - 17.4", 45 cm
