Antique Early Victorian Flamed Mahogany Triple Wardrobe Compactum C1850

Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Triple Wardrobe Compactum and dating from around 1850. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a cornice top with dental moulding above a linen fold frieze with four small carved patera ovals and above three full length panelled doors with moulded panels of flamed mahogany. Internally to one side is a hanging rail above a deep drawer to the base which is mahogany lined with brass handle. To the other side there are five sliding mahogany trays ( these can be removed and a brass rail fitted to provide further hanging space) There are two deep long graduating drawers to the base both of which are mahogany lined and with original brass handles.

It stands on a deep plinth base

Measures: 85" high x 27" deep x internal depth 22" x 77" wide

A superb Early Victorian Wardrobe Compactum of quality mahogany and having a deeper than usual internal depth and in very good original condition with a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
