Antique English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - Chester 1906

Description

Pretty as a picture, this stunning photo frame is beautifully shaped with a raised border highlighting it's decorative form and the glazed aperture having a pretty bow in each corner.

The silver is mounted on to a solid Oak backing with hinged easel stand.

The silver is fully hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1906. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, James Deakin & Sons - John & William Deakin. The right hand corner of the silver also is lucky enough to have an English design registration number: 502475, also for the year 1907.

A very elegant Edwardian frame in excellent condition (a few minuscule dents commensurate with age - insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy). 8" x 6" with the glazed aperture measuring 5 1/4" x 3 5/8".
