Antique Victorian Mahogany Tall Library Bookcase with Serpentine Base C1880

Antique Victorian Mahogany Tall Library Bookcase and dating from around 1880. Constructed from quality mahogany it has a rounded edge to the top above a cross banded frieze and with two arched glazed doors and three internal adjustable shelves. The Serpentine shaped base has a moulded edge to the top above a deep serpentine shaped frieze drawer which is oak lined and above two arched panelled doors with internal shelf. To each side there is a barley twist column and it stands on a deep plinth base.

Measures: 94" high x height to top of base 35" x 17" deep x internal depth ( top) 10" x 42" wide

A most attractive Victorian Library Bookcase of quality mahogany and in very good original condition with a lovely age deepened colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
