Antique French Mahogany Revolving Bookcase C1920

Superb Antique French Mahogany Cylindrical Revolving Bookcase in the 18th century style and dating from around 1920. This beautiful bookcase has the added feature of a deep well in the top which we can only assume is used as a Tantalus for wine and decanters ( we have added a photograph to show this). So that you may stretch out and enjoy a glass or two whilst relaxing with your book!

It has a gallery top with turned spindle supports above a deep cross banded frieze above two tiers with each tier separated into four sections divided by four very nice architectural style panels. It is moulded to the base with a deep mahogany skirt and stands on a single turned candlestick support on three shaped legs with a pad foot.

The base separates from the bookcase for ease of transporting and the bookcase revolves beautifully.
