Stunning Pair Antique Irish Silver Plated Candlesticks by S.d. Neill C.1890

Description

A really superb small pair of Corinthian Column candlesticks by the Dublin silversmiths, S.D. Neill, the makers marks have been struck on the underside of the sticks.

Beautifully decorated, all four sides of the square bases feature a Ram's head with continuous Acanthus leaf garlands, these garlands continue around the columns. The tops of the columns are better than most having been pierced or reticulated rather than just solid.

Excellent original condition, with the base measuring 3 1/4" square and standing 5 1/4" tall. Perfect for the mantelpiece.
