Description

This a beautiful Victorian carriage clock, the case is gold plated and not polished brass as in the majority of carriage clocks, it is in superb condition, bright and crisp.

It is rare with the contrasting very pale blue chapter dial against the white dial.

The movement is of high quality and still retains its original platform ever escapement, it strikes on the hour and half hour and repeats the last hour struck.

The movement is in excellent clean and running condition having just undergone a complete and comprehensive overhaul by Alan Williams who is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute so you can be assured that this clock will give trouble free service for many many years before requiring any further attention.

A beautiful high quality Victorian striking and repeating carriage clock in wonderful condition which will give great pleasure for many years to come.

This clock has obviously been highly prized and looked after over the last 130 years and is a credit to its previous owners.

The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.

Dimensions of clock: Height with the handle up 6.5", Width 3.5" and Depth 3".

If being over critical there is a very faint hairline crack to the top left of the dial but certainly does not detract from the clock at all, because this dial is rare it would not be appropriate to undertake a full restoration.
