This very handsome well sculptured archer is the first of only 4 terracotta casts by blasche.

Stands 64cm tall

Stamped to reverse blasche and r & t magdba 1878 and 1 over a 4.

In the late 19th/early 20th century blasche was considered to be one of germany's greatest expressionist sculptors.

Heydays Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
